I use Mixx a lot, as you say the important thing is to only put your site into relevant groups. Keep it clean and watch the links grow – Google loves them, they always seem to be the first to appear in my Webmaster Tools.

These are great tips. But Mixx is no longer Dofollow. They have changed to Nofollow. It is still good to use to get traffic and social media.

thanks for that advice – I already signed up, but am having some troubled with Mixx, since their site seems to be down quiet often (for example, right now…)

But one thing is really getting me… it seems like this whole social media thing is kind of about schmoozing your way along with the influentials, until you got enough goodwill to call in a favor. The time and effort you invest in that is time and effort you could have invested in improving the content on your site, which, ultimately, I think would benefit the visitors more.

This is really nice point and I am doing work with same strategy and get many back links. One another factor is also important in Mixx. When will you submit in Mixx you have to concentrate on you tag line. Because, when will you click on sufficient keyword so, it will generate static URL for that keyword. You got my point? Many popular tag just like health, business, tech are crawled frequently by Google.

At last and Again….

Really nice post. I think there are many social bookmark sites and you can create separate blog for each sites. So, It will help us.
