You have shared great tips, although I like the one which states the importance of building a strong relationship with blogging community.

You can have a long term relationship with other blogger in community by having a professional attitude and showing respect towards them.

I like to try new things and see how they work for me. Thats why I’ve started my blog. Well, I don’t have the time to level my blog with the profesional blogs in the blogosphere, but that does not mean that I don’t try new things to make my blog more vizible out there. What I want to say is that you need to be realistic with your goals. Establish your goal and try to reach there with little steps, will be more easy to reach your goal

I really liked the second tip about not taking tips for granted. I was always a firm believer in all kinds of sanity-checks and this is a great tip do to on your blog. Before spending (like in your example) hours commenting other blogs do a quick check up and think about benefits compared to the amount of work/time you will spend doing this.

Anyway, those are my 2 cents.

I can’t agree more, especially about the learning from statistics. There are a lot of things to learn by gaining this type of data.

Every months, I gain a few content ideas from this too.

I’ve gone hot and cold on blogging in the past, usually due to having too many projects in the air at the same time. I’ve been in the prep stages of jumping back in to blogging more seriously (and with a plan). Seeing your tips gives me a little more focus, and I appreciate that. Thanks for the tips.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Its great that these have worked for you and hopefully will have follow up success for everyone who is willing to put in the work and use them.

I personaly listen to readers, such as recently i jsut launched my new blog, I got a lot of feed back from friends and bloggers. Mainly it was people liking certain posts. I think this is a good way to really narrow down your niche and become focused on one user group. It was interesting to see where all my stat’s where going as well, I could have made the same analysis without the emails just by looking at my stats package.

There are thousands of tips out there. Some of them depend on the field you’re blogging about, some are general. But you are right, all should be tried out before being passed along.
