@Alex D, Brandon: Most probably that’s why I’ve put “getting away” on top of my list. Something inside dictated me to do so.

@Bamboo Forest: I agree. Even so, we need to keep a constant pace. Blogging is just like a marathon. Lose the rhythm and you’ll lose the race.

@Eric, Santiago: That’s a good strategy, but keep in mind that we do it every day, even without having a content crisis.

I think that getting away from the subject is helpful.

I haven’t had any post ideas for a few weeks now, and I don’t think that my constant thinking about posts have helped much. (Nor reading a book on blogging, I suppose)
In the last two days I’ve had to be cut off from the internet to finish work for school, and during that time I came up with a bunch of ideas (Mostly to keep myself from going crazy) that I can use for posts!

I think that the best way when you don’t know what to write is to take a break. Many bloggers think that there is a golden rule to write daily.This isn’t true .. instead of writing 5 crappy posts / day, it’s better to write 2 excellent post / week.

All very useful pointers for stirring the mind to write good content, thanks. In my blog, I have the luxury of writing about almost anything. However, I’d like to believe I always strive for quality over quantity. So even though my options are larger than those with very specific niches — I don’t always have something screaming at me to be written. Though I do find, that inspiration often hits me at the most unexpected times :]

I like to read comments on various blogs to generate ideas. Lots of times someone will mention something that they don’t fully develop, and you can create an in depth post on that. Good post!
