Checking wheather the content is the king because the king is without the kingdom. So, here is the doubt made. This post is good.

“Content is king.”

It sounds good in principle. Produce a truly great piece of content, and you’ll get all the links you could ever hope for.
Maybe it worked too, several years ago. The Web used to be a fairly quiet place compared to what it is now, and it was easier for people to notice great blog posts.
But not anymore.
Now great is no longer good enough. The Web is full of so much remarkable content that bloggers don’t have enough time to read it all, much less link to it.
If you want links now, you need to be more than great. You need to be connected.

This post is timeless! 10 years from now, this post would still be true. Some people bloggers and people on forums saying that content is king. All they can say is “content is king… traffic will come when you write great content” and that’s it. This post can wake some people up!

Believe it or not, content is the king provided you’re an expert in your niche.

The points that you’ve mentioned in the post also matters a lot and worth your time implementing those things on your blog.

I believe in the mantra that “content is king” myself, but I’ve always equated it with music. A great song doesn’t care who sings it because it will still be a great song. However, let a producer mess it up and it will never be a great record. A great singer can’t overcome either a bad song or a bad producer. Still, it all starts with a great song, or at least a song that a lot of people could possibly get behind and make it a hit.

@John Sullivan, thanks for your subscription and I’m glad to see that people prefer the “old school” way of reading. I only use readers to see when blogs are updated. I too prefer reading straight from the source, in the original blog environment. Adds a lot to the overall feeling.

You make a powerful point. While content may be king, if you don’t have an adequate subject, design, or exposure… it’s probably not going to do much good for you. I like how you termed it.. a king without a kingdom.
