She did rant about the guy in Singapore who didn't pay his bill. It was only $50 but as she said it was HER $50. If you try to write in a certain style or simply cause you are told that's how you should "sound" you desert yourself and the fun of doing your blog. Usual post is value - it's read, digested and left alone. Change of this routine by posting something way more deep (long in-depth opinion) or something way more shallow (short funny story) creates a pause for readers to get distracted and step in coversation.
