Good tips on researching other blogs. I have been focusing on adding content right now and I need to get better at doing it consistently. I do need to start spending more time researching my keywords and checking out the competition.

I’m a big believer in thinking in terms of 80-20 principle and in my opinion it all depends upon your approach and mindset.

@Jared: Content is important, especially when you are building a new blog. But consider this. Average content with great promotion is better in terms of traffic and success than great content with little or no promotion at all.

2-3posts per day is great, if you can be consistent with it, especially if you readers begin to expect it.

@Marios: I think that’s what I mentioned above. I call it the syndrome of analysis paralysis.

Very good ideas. But you should also warn people of the perils of analysis paralysis. Trying to know all the answers sometimes keeps you from executing.

Great post, I am still experimenting with different techniques to get my blog noticed but I think one of the most important factors is getting large amounts of content out there in the early stages 2-3posts per day if not more, even if you stray from your niche a little bit.
