HI,

I am trying to create a website for my girlfriend. I am very new at this still. But she just wants all the fonts to be in century gothic. Title pages and all the text.

I tried to install this for her. But I get an error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_strpos() in /var/www/sites/doodledesigns.co.za/wp-content/plugins/anyfont/anyfont.php on line 332

Just need to know how I can fix this error – and how can i download the century gothic font.

Need the anyfont api key, which has been reported impossible to get, unless you pay $$$.

I just tried AnyType on CreativeDreaming.org and I was amazed at how well it worked. WordPress has many virtues but its overall design palette is boxy and somewhat limited. This will open the door (the floodgates?) to more creative typography on WordPress sites.

Alex, sIFR is one good alternative for news based websites, because you can still copy-paste the text. For more "static" websites, AnyFont could be better because it renders cleaner fonts. The anti-aliasing is a bit off with sIFR. Duplicating H1s is a no-no. Even if it contains the same text. There's place for only one H1 in a document. SEO-wise, on the inner pages it's better to remove the link from the title and use an alternate solution, like adding a small link close to the title named "Trackback URL" or something. Dmitry, please address the problem with the plugin author or the . I cannot offer support for this plugin, since I'm not the one who created it.

I’ve seen some alternatives – like sIFR – and i had to use a similar font ). The alternative was actually a duplicate H1. The first one was flashy, the second one, the duplicate I mean, was pure text.
About usability, it’s the reason I have my titles linked to the page, inside the article pages. For me, for example, is easier to right-click > Copy link location from the post title instead of the address bar.
Anyway, I’m glad I don’t go that far when designing a theme. I go for simple layouts and designs

Alex, there are alternatives for listing the post titles to make it easy for user to copy-paste them, like adding a post footer containing the title and the trackback link and so on. Indeed, this makes it a bit harder for users, but in theory, this type of plugins are more for the “creatives”, or more usable on presentation websites using WordPress as CMS.
