You should try submitting it to the wordpress.org directory. I just hope they accept themes using Cufón…
Cosmin, the theme uses Cufon, but it can be turned off from the theme settings. Also, it’s free technology making use of free resources. Not accepting it because it uses Cufon would be similar to not accepting a theme because it uses jQuery or Mootools. Glad you like the theme!
You should double check the dropdown menu in Chrome. Sometimes it disappears before I can click a link. Other than that… awesomeness!
Weird thing, Adrian. Are you sure it’s not just a matter of hovering over the site title by mistake or something? I’m using Chrome for a few months as default browser. The theme has been developed on Chrome and Firefox with minor tweaks for IE, and I never had that problem. Also, from what I remember, you’re a PC user like me, not a Mac user… so that puts us in similar environments. Please let me know if it happens again, maybe we can track the issue down.
I absolutely love this theme. So, simple and beautiful. I’m surprised that this is being given away for free. Kudos to that.

Nice theme, Alex, I really like it. If I wouldnt like Hybrid so much, this theme would be my next choice.
I think I found 2 errors though. The Cufon font does not play well with some Romanian characters. Do you have any idea of some fonts that do?

Eugen, the font used by Cufon was meant to be beautiful, not satisfy every language in the world. I blog in Romanian too and I’m not using special characters and the theme works just fine.
Also, the threaded comments thing. That’s my personal choice. I want to preserve the natural flow of the design and threaded comments always manage to break it.
So there you go, no errors there. One personal choice and definitely, if a font doesn’t play well with Romanian characters it’s not a theme error. It’s just a matter of good looks, freeware resource versus a low percentage of bloggers using it with Cufon activated and need for extra special characters. You know you can always disable it in the control panel (this should tell you that I’ve considered a backup solution for cases like yours) and revert to the use of either Palatino or Georgia, based on the fonts installed on the readers computer.
Ok, I know that I can always replace those special characters by hand or using a MySQL query. That should not be a too big of a problem.
But if I would like to use this theme on a blog which used threaded comments before and now I will deactivate them the flow of conversation will look a bit strange. That’s all.
Hi there! Can someone help me add a side column to this? It’s so gorgeous! The bottom widgets won’t work for some reason though
Lela, make sure you add those widgets correctly. The widget areas have nothing special that could make them “not work”. Also, the theme is already used by a few website, one of them my own blog in Romanian: http://alexcristache.com and the widgets work just fine.
As for a sidebar, this is the current layout. Maybe at some point there will be an update containing the option of a sidebar, but if you need it NOW, the only option is to hire me or some other designer to custom code it.

Beautiful theme, truly, I love simple designs like this. One thing I noticed though, when I uncheck the author and date, etc. so it won’t be shown it still shows up. I’ll probably try to delete it manually, I just hope I don’t screw up the theme.
Robin, it might be a singular problem as this is not an error that has ever been reported, nor did it show up during beta tests.
I like the minimalist feel of this theme and am anxious to give it a shot (it’s downloading now) but I;m wondering why I don’t find this via the WordPress “Install Themes” option.
@Rob O.: Typominima was not added to WordPress’ official themes repository, thus it can’t be found through that tool.

Too bad it doesn’t have a portfolio or gallery section; otherwise, it’s functional.
I just widened my margins on Typominima, but now my post titles are not centered (and neither is the decorative footer). Can anyone help me figure out how to fix that?

Any chance you could share the .psd for the deco images? Love the theme, but when changing the background of my site I need to also change the deco images background. Or maybe make them transparent .pngs?

I love this theme and am trying to use it as my photography blog. However, with the current settings, I can’t increase the size of my photos very much without running into the comment, author, date, etc. info. Is there any way to move that stuff below my post so I can put really big pictures on? (Width of the header)
I’d appreciate any help! I tried looking at the code, but couldn’t figure out how to do this.

Beautiful theme–used it for a friend at http://ashleighbaker.net One potential bug we found was when we installed the plugin WP Comment Thread to enable nested comments–the reply comment box was tiny. Discovered that in comments.php the textarea definition for “comment” had an empty value for “cols”–I replaced it with a value of 85 and it worked beautifully.

I don’t know how this theme managed to work with Blogger but it did. Found it in Best Blogger Templates, didn’t realize it was a WordPress theme. I love it. Thank you and for making it free. Just one question is there any way to center my photos above the text? Having used a WordPress them on Blogger somehow even when centering the photos from the blogger dashboard they show up off to the side. But I still love this theme anyway even with the photos side aligned.

@Abhimanyu: What you are using is a derivate of my original work. This theme was intended for use on WordPress websites and not Blogspot, but someone took their time to create a version. Please try and ask the ones that modified if they can include the features you need. Thanks!

Arizona, I need to know if you’re using this template on a WordPress blog or on Blogspot like the sample link you provided. Cause the Blogspot version of the template is just a copy/adaption of my work done by someone else and unless you’re using the WordPress version, I can’t help you.

This is indeed a beautiful theme. I feel like I have browsed hundreds of themes, an yours is the best one I can find. Thanks so much. My only request, very minor, is that you had an option to remove the author name, as you can remove the date, comment count, categories, etc. from the blog posts. All of my posts are done by myself, so it is redundant.

I take back the comment about the author name. I don’t know anything about PHP or CSS, and I was able to figure out how to remove it on my own. If I can do it, anyone can. Now, I just have to find where to donate to the cause.

Hi Joe, thanks a bunch for your offer but at this very moment I don’t really offer any more support on this theme. Life took some turns that keep me away from the blog for the time being. If you feel up to the job and really want to do it, go ahead and shoot me the end result. Does anyone know where I can access the theme’s control panel from? or does it not work with the latest version of wordpress?
Can’t seem to find it after I activate the theme.
In the Dashboard, on the left side of your browser you have the WP menu, scroll down and Typominima’s control panel button should be the last item, or if you have other plugins that generate menu items it should at least be among the last items. “Typominima CP”.
I love this theme. So glad it’s free. Im using the wordpress version and I’d like to put an image under the heading. Ive seen afew others do it. Could I get help with this? Also , is there any way to have sidebars? Or use the blogger version on wordpress?

I just replaced one of the images surrounding the Blog-Title with a pic. works fine.
Hey, love your theme! But, I think MS broke something. The Cufon fonts do not render in Internet Explorer 9.0. This leaves blank spaces where titles and headings should be. Un-checking “Enable Cufón font-replacement” ‘fixes’ the problem, but of course it uses a different (much less attractive) font. This is true on my home AND work computers. Its also true of my install AND when I view your demo version from your site. Firefox, Chrome and Safari all work fine. Feel free to email if you need more info. Happy holidays! THANKS!
I’d just like to say, “Thank you” for the lovely (and free!) Typominima WordPress Theme. It is both elegant, traditional, modern, and simple at the same time. Best of all (for me), it uses a similar color scheme to my old theme design, which I built using Thesis a few years ago. I did not have time to invest in site design this time, and I had not liked the other themes I had tried out. This is great, and exactly the look I wanted. Again, “thank you!”
