  • Hey Alex, thanks for the link! I subscribed to your RSS feed a couple weeks back, and I’ve really enjoyed your work. You give some great tips that I’ve tried to incorporate in some of my work. Keep up the good work!

Hi, I’m Brandon. :) I don’t really remember how I found the site, but I enjoy your Blogging Tips and subscribed a few weeks ago.

I’ve just recently started blogging (I’m one of the voters for the “0 – 3 months” option in your latest poll) and I’m trying to absorb as much tips and information as I can to help improve my blog. :)

    – Oh, and what do you use for your article view counts? I may want something like that. :)

  • @Eric: The link, don’t mention it. My pleasure. Thanks for your words!

@Brandon: Thanks for the subscription and I’m glad you find Blogsessive useful. Looking forward to hear news on how your blog is growing.
The plugin for the views is WP-PostViews by Lester ‘GaMerZ’ Chan. You can read more and download it here:

  • Hey Alex,

This is Manish Pandey, from India.

  • Hello Manish and welcome to Blogsessive!
Congratulations on your recent achievement for SEO expert.

  • Hello Xhezarian! Nice to virtually meet you.

Although I encourage people to subscribe to my RSS, I leave them to decide when the time comes. As you can see, I not running those plugins that detect if you’re new to the blog or not and push to you subscribing. I’m glad you enjoy this blog.

PS: You don’t have to be new to gather everything about blogging. We have a lifetime of learning ahead of us.

  • Alex, thanks for the kind words.
I’ve always assumed you are a kind person, through blogsessive you prove it all.

Bytheway I want to contact you in private (yet virtually) thus I left my email address, if you wouldn’t mind adding me or something I’d be more than grateful. Have something I need to talk to you about.

    Cheers and thanks.

  • Actually just added subscribed after reading a few of your posts. I just noticed that you aren’t using full feeds and would like to hear what you think of full feeds vs. excerpt feeds. Maybe a nice idea for post :)

btw: I’m a graphic designer from Denmark who just started blogging seriously and I found your site through a top 20 vector characters

  • Thomas, the full vs. excerpts has been discussed plenty of times on many blogs, but coincidently, next week I’m going to post a poll about this and will also share my views on the subject.

And, since you’re a graphic designer from a EU country, did you check my other project: http://www.creativeurope.eu/ ? Maybe even add your portfolio link?

  • I actually just bookmarked that one. Looks like a great place to get listed.

  • So you wanna know more about your readers (me) huh? Ok, this is Joel form India. I love making friends. Also I just love blogging and blogging :D Nothing else. I like it because its fun. Its coz, you can meet new people and make new friends out there. Which is another reason for why I love blogging… :)

Ok, I am excited now, before I could start writing 300+ words about me here, its better I stop… :D

    Nice to see you…
    Happy Blogging

  • If I want to modify the default font size and style, how to modify?
    Thank you。
My theme is Simple Balance 2.1。

  • hypfx,

Changing fonts in Simple Balance, as mostly with any other theme, is done by editing the “style.css” file in the theme’s folder.

If you scroll throught the file in your editor you’ll see fonts defined using code statements similar to this one:

    font: normal normal 12px Tahoma, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif;

This is how fonts can be defined or changed.

    Basically the above statement says:

    - The font should be normal in style ( not italic )
    - The font should be normal in weight ( not bold )
    - The font should pe 12px in size
    - The first font option is Tahoma, followed by Arial if Tahoma does not exist, Verdana next, or any other sans-serif font if the previous three are not installed on the user’s machine.
