I am a web programmer operating out of Louisville, KY (but happy to work with clients from all over ), and I just happened upon your blog (and Twitters) tonight when looking up talk about an e-commerce plugin for WordPress. Great work! And I look forward to following your blog through Google Reader.

I work on websites of various kinds, but in recent months I have been digging a lot more into blog development and exploring how WordPress can be used in re-implementing static websites, but with a blog (obviously) and plugins for e-commerce and other kinds of functionality.

Just from browsing a few of your posts, I can tell you are putting a lot of work and thought into this blog. I actually feel excited about what I am going to learn from you (and possibly even give back in comments ultimately).

I am Rarst. I am doing “generic IT stuff” for a living and had started tech blog under “cynical thoughts” tagline as hobby few months ago. I spend my time at computer, other Internet-capable devices or totally offline socializing with people on my few non-computer interests (mostly books and anime).

As English is not my native language and do not speak it very well I usually do not comment around here. But I read every post, there are a lot to be learned yet! Although I am not using it anymore, it’s a little too narrow for my needs now, thanks a lot for Simple Balance wordpress theme!

Cory O’Brien, I too enjoy the way the comments were posted. I love the fact that now I really know how’s out there reading the feeds, favoring posts on social media and so on. I would definitely love it more if people would provide even more feedback on posts or via email so that we can really turn this into a better resource. But I know that feedback requires time, and not everyone has that time.

Considering the experience that some of my readers (like you) have, it would be a great way to even learn from each other.

Corey Freeman, welcome and thanks for the links. As for the tips, the most important things are “focus” and “patience”. I’m sure you’ll get there, over that edge.

You know I’m a music fan too? Here’s something about me that’s not written in the about page, but my Twitter followers might know:
1. I love motorcycles and ride about 2 hours a day a Honda CBR 600 F4. It’s the best relaxation method I could find.
2. I love rap music and also act as an MC and producer in a Romanian group called KaTaNa.

Now, creative things mix well together and might just add that extra spark needed to shine. It’s a good combination.

Primarily and forthwidth I’m a total musical geek. I play trumpet, love alternative rock, and I hate when people finish songs on leading tones. I also love parentheses (as readers of, well, anything I write will know).

Yes, I blog too. I set up my blog 23 months ago for writers who seek to be more productive. I’m up to about 500 RSS subscribers and get about 5000 unique visitors a month. Still, I have much to learn and many improvements yet to make to my blog. I can already see that some of your articles will be helpful.

I’m Steve, we’ve been in touch over twitter before, but I’ve been following your feed since you released Simple Balance 1. It’s opened up a lot of blogging tips resources to me and I follow a few more now too such as Darren Rowse and more.
Just recently started a web design course so my mind is jumbled full of code at the moment, but it’s fun and one day maybe I’ll design mt own theme!
